I was raised in Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in advertising. For more than 24 years, I’ve maintained a career in marketing with hands-on creative development, working in fashion, retail and consumer goods & services.
My on-going passion for textile art blossomed from a hobby into a business idea in 2004, as I refined my craft the spark for Tracy B Designs was ignited; In November, 2005, I transitioned from my full-time marketing career to spend more quality time with family, manage creative consulting projects and pursue the growth of Tracy B Designs. After calling Florida home for 16 years, my husband, our two children and I moved to the Denver area in August, 2006. It seems like in the blink of an eye, a change in my husband’s job relocated us back to Orlando in August, 2008 — where I continue to channel my creative energy and add sizzle to my ever-growing whimsical collections.
With a strong creative sense, passion for color and attention to detail, my talent as a textile artist has developed throughout the years. I encourage feedback from friends and customers, and take great pleasure in creating delightful art-cessories for individuals and homes.
I encourage creativity in my family as well. My daughter, Emily, has wonderful artistic flair and is a great sounding board for many of my “creations,” especially in my Children’s Collections. We love being “crafty” together … here we are at a past show in Denver.
